Using a midi interface on his guitar Neil and Carl blended a synthesized sound in with the recorded guitar to create the unique texture of the solos. Originally Neil wrote an oboe solo for the balled 'Choked' but when Becky Taylor expressed an interest in working with Neil, she was asked to contribute a melody on the Irish Pipes. This lilting, and bewitching solo really makes the piece.
