Frustrated with the dance music
    perpetually pulsating from Carl's
late night drinking haunts in Leeds,
our Mr Stipetic decided to pen his
own dance track. Neil was invited to put
some lyrics to the tune and in one of
those hazy hours after a very long
recording session, the vocals were laid
down. We are, of course talking about
the days when Carl's In A City Studio was
on Canal Road. In actual fact Neil's
association with Carl stems right back to
1989 when Coda occasionally hired the
    rehearsal room adjoining the studio.

Clairvoyance is a song that is structured
over a typical dance beat. Carl used a
funky clavinova sound and piano here
and there but also ran a very long and
sinewy guitar solo over the middle eight
section. For Neil it was an opportunity to
try something quite different to his usual
vocal style, which made it all the more
enjoyable.  (In A City Studio's Website)
